Common Sense: I don’t think I really need to explain this one, but here we go anyway. If you have a good grasp on the whole common sense idea, put it into practice. If you don’t, find the person who does and do what they do. This also goes for recruiting, we ask that there be absolutely no guild recruiting amongst the raid force. This means that under no circumstances should any guilds, participating in the /FacePalm raids, try to “scout” or convince someone to join their personal guild or raid force. However, if someone should approach you wanting information about joining your guild, there’s nothing that can really be done. We just ask that you please deal with it in private and outside of the raid block. This is simply being courteous to all the guilds who’ve decided to participate with us and to make sure that there’s no “scouting” of their members by any of the other guilds. If anyone is caught scouting raiders from other guilds, they will be removed from the raid and will not be invited back. So just keep in mind that if at any point during a raid, or anywhere for that matter, you actually have to stop and ask yourself if it’s a good idea to do or say something–You’re probably better off not going there. Short, simple, so on to more important things!
Pay Attention: If the Raid Leader or an Alliance Leader is trying to explain strats to everyone, stop talking and pay attention. I can say from experience that there’s nothing more annoying than trying to talk over someone or having to repeat something 3 times because not everyone was listening the first time. This goes for the veterans who’ve already ran the instances–You might know what to do, but that doesn’t mean that everyone else does. I can’t stress this one enough, so please please please pay attention to what your leaders are telling you during the raids!
Raid Sign-Ups: All members MUST sign-up the character they wish to raid on for any and all raids they wish to participate in! We have a lot of players and limited spots, so all members who’ve marked themselves as Available will be invited in the order they’ve signed up and according to the raid’s needs. Any vacant spots will be filled using open invites to anyone who’s waiting on stand-by. If a limited amount of spots are open for specific classes (i.e. healers or tanks) invites will be based on first come first serve and the need for certain classes. Anyone not on the character he/she signed up with
or not on the Approved Signup list will be overlooked. Raid invites for approved players ends at 12:05am EST — So make sure to sign-up ASAP and be logged into the game, on the appropriate character, 15-20 minutes before the scheduled raid time to secure your spot. Targhan note: We WILL begin the practice of shutting down sign-ups an hour before raid. You have been warned.
Requirements: Certain raid instances are going to have
Critical Mitigation (CM) Critical Chance (CC), Hit Point (HP), and possibly Resist requirements that must be meet prior to signing up for raids. All raid instances with specific requirements will be noted on the raid description/signup sheet. If anyone signs up a character whom doesn’t meet those requirements, the character will not be moved to the Approved Signup list and invited to the raid. These requirements are not to be mean or to leave anyone out — They’re simply to guarantee that the raid runs as smoothly as possible with the highest success chance for all participating members.
